MNL 10,000KM Walking Challenge

Our Wellbeing Committee organised a MNL 10,000km Walking Challenge for our team across 6 weeks. The initiative is to encourage health and wellbeing, team bonding and family time which has been really successful.

The challenge begun Monday 28th March with 9 groups of 6 people aiming to walk / jog / run at least 2.8 miles per day over the 42 days to meet our overall company target. Each team member provided their weekly KM on a Monday morning from either their smart watch or phones. The captain of each team calculated their overall weekly score and input it into our overall company challenge target.

From walking around our local areas, lunchtime walks, sunrise mountain walks, tours of London, holidays abroad, beach days away and much more, the team have seen some fabulous places.

  • Pimp My Stride
  • The Holy Walkamolies
  • The Proclaimers
  • The Road Warriors

With random games and prizes along the way it has been a very successful 6 week challenge and we would highly recommend it to other companies! From winning Easter Eggs, Cinema tickets to vouchers to our overall team winners going for a lunch together and a gift voucher each it has been great fun.

Across 9 teams of 6we totalled a whooping 17,247.25KM! Our top performer Sean totalled to an amazing 760.58KM’s who received a voucher for active wear as well as being in the winning team!

Our wellbeing committee would highly recommend other businesses’ to give the challenge a go to encourage team bonding and exercise coming into the Summer months. We had random prizes throughout and overall winning prizes.
