Mechanical and Electrical Services for Layden House Refurb Progressing Well

November 15, 2019

Not long ago stood a tired 1970’s office building, now Layden House is being transformed to create an exciting commercial space, adjacent to Farringdon Station, London. The refurbishment will reflect the new age of office culture with retail and restaurant units on the bottom floor creating an inviting addition to the local area. Michael Nugent Ltd are providing a full mechanical and electrical services installation for this complex refurbishment.

This £16m project, expanding over 45,000ft2 will transform the inefficient office to a new specification responding to the local commercial market, with underfloor ventilation distribution and increased floor area significantly reducing carbon emissions.

With office culture shifting in recent years to an increasingly collaborative environment, the project will include a co-working space, providing an area for tenants and clients to meet and work. A communal garden on the roof will provide an escape from the indoors, where tenants can interact whilst enjoying the views of London.

We are pleased to add this low-energy refurbishment scheme to our growing repertoire of Grade A commercial projects
