Michael Nugent Awarded Victoria Gate Office Project in Woking

Victoria Gate is a prominent office building in Woking, Surrey which is due to undergo a comprehensive refurbishment and renovation, including the provision of additional floor space and roof terrace. Michael Nugent has been awarded the subsequent M&E contract for this refurbishment project.

Woking is a major town in Surrey and has excellent road connections to the M25/M3 motorways and the A3 to the South. The building is located on the Eastern side of Chobham Road close to the A320 Victoria Way, allowing for easy access to the Town Centre retail and leisure facilities. The Main Line Railway station offers fast and frequent services into London Waterloo and to the South West, which provide valuable transport services for commuters to and from work at Victoria Gate.

As it stands, the building is four storeys tall expanding over 63,000 sq ft. The refurbishment would see a setback fifth floor added as well as a further 13,300 sq ft of space. Other features within this refurb include the redesigning of the ground floor reception to create a more accessible double height space, a ‘floating roof’ and a 4 pipe fan coil heating and cooling throughout the building. Victoria Gate currently boasts an Excellent BREEAM rating and an EPC rating of B.

Michael Nugent will be commencing M&E works in January 2017 and we look forward to getting started on another prestigious commercial offices project.
