Michael Nugent Wins Major Mechanical Maintenance Contract
We’ve been awarded a major mechanical maintenance contract for the Royal Victoria Hospital, with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust
Our team is delighted to announce we’ve won the mechanical services maintenance contract at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. The contract – which was awarded by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust – will last for four years, during which Michael Nugent will ensure the upkeep of the hospital’s heating, plumbing, ventilation and sanitation systems.
With 80,000 inpatients and 350,000 outpatients treated at the hospital every year, the building’s mechanical systems are essential for the provision of a high quality, reliable health service. Public health and medical gas installations are fundamental for the treatment and recovery of patients, so a reliable maintenance service for these life-saving systems is crucial.
The Royal Victoria is part of four linked hospitals, which together make up the biggest and most well-known hospitals in Northern Ireland. Over two thirds of the province’s population live within 40 minutes’ travel of the facility, making it an essential addition to the health care provision both in Belfast and beyond.
Yet having fitted mechanical installations at the Royal Victoria Hospital’s Vascular Research Unit, Michael Nugent is well accustomed with the size, complexity and significance of the hospital.
And with our experience-led facilities management service, we are confident we can deliver the high quality reactive and routine maintenance works the facility relies on.
We’re excited to be taking this maintenance project on and look forward to working closely with the Royal Victoria Hospital to deliver an innovative, professional service that keeps the building’s mechanical systems running to the highest standard.
