City Quays Project Will Contribute to Belfast Economy
Michael Nugent’s work at the City Quays office building in Belfast will contribute to the economic development of the city
Our City Quays office development project will ease a high demand for office space in Belfast, reports say. The building – which is being developed by Belfast Harbour as an extension to Clarendon Dock – will boost economic activity and business growth in the city.
The £20m project will provide 68,994 square feet of modern office space over five storeys. With the globally-renown businesses already based in the Clarendon Dock area, the development is expected to attract the attention of multiple transnational corporations. Hundreds of jobs will be created by the project, enhancing Belfast’s already rapidly growing economy.
Michael Nugent is providing all mechanical services to the new-build. This is a large-scale project that requires close integration with all designers and contractors, including Main Contractor Heron Bros. Yet our fully integrated approach has ensured our mechanical solutions are tailored specifically to meet the needs of this innovative building.
Works are progressing well and as we continue to deliver our services in line with the project schedule, we anticipate a timely completion in 2015.
The project comes as part of a £250m development scheme across a 20-acre space at Belfast Harbour. Once complete, the area will boast an impressive hotel, leisure, residential and office space. Pedestrianised waterside walkways and cycle paths will add a recreational touch, while large car parks will offer easy access for staff and building users.
As our works progress, Michael Nugent is delighted to uncover more and more benefits of this project and we look forward to seeing the success of City Quays when complete.
