Works Completed at Bolton College Motor Vehicle Centre

We’ve completed and handed over our project at the Motor Vehicle Centre at Bolton College. Michael Nugent supplied all mechanical works to this cutting-edge learning facility.Bolton College 2

Bolton College’s motor and engineering students have an exciting facility awaiting their return this September, with the opening of the new motor vehicle building in the coming weeks.

Michael Nugent supplied all mechanical installations to the facility, including heating, plumbing and sanitation provisions, as well as ventilation and exhaust fume extraction systems.

Having previously been taught at the college’s Horwich Campus, motor vehicle students will now enjoy state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of Bolton town. The facility will provide vocational study in vehicle exhaust systems, steering, suspension, spark ignition, power units and valeting enterprise – and will be ready for use by the start of term in September.

The development comes with the construction of the college’s new STEM Centre. This £4.3m project will provide study space for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths students and will be located at the Dean Road Campus in the town centre.

Equipped with the latest technology, the STEM Centre will deliver the most advanced training. It’s been designed to meet the needs of Bolton’s employers and the local economy by up-skilling the area’s youth and adult learners. The Centre is also set to increase employment and apprenticeship opportunities, initiating greater collaboration and enterprise.

This adds to Bolton College’s vision for enhancing employability through the provision of high quality vocational education. The college currently provides over 800 full and part time courses, working with students, businesses, employers and the local community to deliver the best learning experience possible.

With its cutting-edge facilities, the STEM Centre will house a significant portion of these courses; while Motor Vehicle, Motor Sport and Engineering courses will be taught in our recently completed vehicle centre.

Michael Nugent has provided mechanical works to a range of colleges and motor vehicle projects. Find out about our education jobs and work with Audi and BMW.
